Top 10: "To do" in beautiful Marin County, California:

  1. Get out on the San Francisco Bay: by water it is amazing: get on a private boat, fun tour ride, or by Ferry! (Larkspur Ferry will take you to happening San Francisco locations!)

  2. Go up Mt. Tamalpais for Sunset - East Ridge - Sun sets over the Pacific Ocean, and on foggy days - you rise above the clouds to view the fog as if it itself was a rolling sea - unbelievable experience!

  3. Awake for Sunrise on Marin Headlands - Sun comes up over the bay and city - Amazing!

  4. Take a drive along Hwy 1, out to West Marin, to visit Pt. Reyes or simply to do some BBQ Oyster tasting.   Drive through some cute coastal towns.  Do some organic cheese or wine tasting. (Remember: Fill up car before heading to West Marin- No gas stations out there!)

  5. Muir Woods is always a great destination - but visit Larkspur's Madrone Canyon for a mini version with creek and park; not to mention the cutest downtown with great coffee at Rulli's. :)

  6. Lunch at Sam's in Tiburon on a Saturday or Sunday in the summer is always great with plenty of action - people, boats, and Views.

  7. Go to Angel Island for the day or a just of couple hours - perhaps do lunch. :)  

    1. Cafe serves great food, drinks, and even music entertainment.   

    2. Picnic tables and fun play beach 

    3. Great excercise - you can bike or hike the island!  Rentals available.

    1. This is what Marin really excels at for locals and athletes alike.  The amount of open space and trail access in Marin is amazing- all with unbelievable Views of the city, Mountains, Bay, and even the Pacific Ocean.  To much to list- just click on the Hiking / Biking list on the marinvacation.com website, as well as salmon spawning, etc... go through!Beach's - So many to choose from!

  9. Beach going-  always great for everyone.

    2. Stinson Beach - most popular - get-up early to avoid the crowds headed on weekends!

      1. Fantastic for Skimming- long gentle wave beachline.

      2. Vollyball courts

      3. Cute downtown with surfshop, eateries, and small store.

      4. West MarinFILL UP CAR - NO GAS STATIONS on this side of the Mountain (Towns are: Pt. Reyes, Stinson, Bolinas, Tomalas, Dillon Beach, Inverness, & Olema)!

  10. Do any of Marin's adorable downtowns for eating, shopping and people viewing - mingle with the locals.
